Greek House to Rent
Kea (Tzia) Island, Cyclades, Greece

The house is located
in Marades, a very quiet part of the island of Kea, on the road to Xyla.
It is conveniently close (within walking dintance - 1,5 km) to Korrisia, the
main port and shopping area of Kea, and only 200 m from the beach known as
Plateia Ammos.
As the beach of Plateia Ammos faces north, it becomes wavy when the summer
northern wind (meltemi) becomes strong.
A number of other beaches are accessible by car, the closest one being Xyla,
4 km from the house.
The 200 sq. m. house
(on the right) shares the land with an identical house where the owners live
(on the left).
The architecture and orientation offers a considerable degree of privacy to
both houses.
The stone-built
surroundings offer shaded outside living areas of all possible orientations.
There is ample outside parking space as well as limited indoor parking (garage).

As we walk up from the parking space and pass under the arch,
...we reach the living
area outside the main entrance to the house.
This area is protected from the northern winds, no matter how strong, and
includes a stone-built dining area.
Once inside the house,
the stairs on our right lead us upstairs to three of the four bedrooms,
as well as to the outside top level.
The first bedroom has
a double (1,6 m wide) bed, the second bedroom has two built-in single (0,9
m) beds.
These two bedrooms share a full bathroom with shower. Both bedrooms have ceiling
fans.
The third bedroom has
two levels.
Its upper level has two single beds, its lower level has one single bed/sofa,
a small bathroom,
a kitchenette and a door leading to the area outside the main entrance.
As this bedroom has its own entrance, it can be separated and used independently
of the rest of the house.
This two level bedroom has air conditioning, in case the weather becomes too
hot, and a ceiling fan at the upper level.

Going back inside from
the main entrance, stairs lead down to an auxiliary dining room and to the
fourth bedroom.
This bedroom also has two levels, with a semi-double (1,2 m) bed in the lower
level
and two small single convertible beds at the upper level.
This bedroom also has a full bathroom with shower.
As we return and walk up to the area inside the main entrance,
...we reach the living room with TV and DVD player, stereo, fireplace, main dining room,
...and kitchen.
The kitchen is fully equipped with large refrigerator/freezer, gas/electric
stove,
dishwasher, microwave oven, espresso/filter coffee machine etc.
The living room and most outside living areas have an unobstructed sea view.
The upper outside level (outside the first bedroom) has access to a stone built dining area with BBQ and traditional (wood) oven.
The lower level (basement) has the laundry equipment (clothes washer, ironing equipment etc.) and indoor parking space for one car.
